ISPA has published evidence submitted to the Joint Committee currently scrutinising the Draft Investigatory Powers Bill. In the evidence ISPA states the need for clearer definitions and that it is essential the new legislation fully complies with UK and EU legislation and court judgements. It is also vital the Bill adequately balances the new powers with oversight, transparency and the impact on business.
