Busy policy period ahead

In the week that Westminster returns from summer recess, the ISPA policy subgroups are busily engaged on a range of policy issues this autumn.

On broadband, the design of the USO, delivery of the FTIR including impending consultations on wayleaves and new builds, end of contract notifications, ADR case review and more are all on the agenda of the broadband subgroup. Meanwhile, the coming months will see the publication of the Government’s Internet Safety White Paper to bring together an array of important measures, while the delivery of age verification moves closer. On cyber security, ISPA is drafting its own guidance and helping members with the new regulatory regime.

Contact ISPA if you want to get more involved in the subsgroups.

Broadband subgroup responds to USO consultation

The Broadband Subgroup convened to discuss the most recent consultation from Ofcom on the implementation of the Universal Service Obligation (USO) for Broadband. The ISPA response cited the need to consider the interaction of the USO with other planned state funded roll out programmes, and can be found here.
