Entries Open for the ISPA Awards Until the 23rd January -
The 11th Annual UK Internet Industry Awards

The 2009 ISPA Awards will feature new awards categories including: Best Consumer Fixed Broadband ISP; Best Business Fixed Broadband ISP; Best Consumer Mobile Broadband ISP; Best Business Mobile Broadband ISP; Best Consumer Customer Service and Best Business Customer Service.

This year’s awards reflect feedback from last year’s entrants and progression in the industry today and will be presented at the Grosvenor Marriott Hotel on the 9th July 2009.

The awards will be presented to the most outstanding ISPs following a rigorous testing procedure using Epitiro software. This year the software can be easily downloaded from the 2009 ISPA Awards site so that entrants can start testing straight away.

The awards are open for entry and are free and open to all ISPs, including to those who are not members of ISPA.

ISPA Secretary General appears on Channel 4 News & BBC Radio 4
Delivered the ISP perspective on IWF Wikipedia Issue & broadband speeds

ISPA Secretary-General Nicholas Lansman spoke on an ITN news programme on Monday evening on this subject, explaining the relationship between ISPs and the IWF and supporting the role of the IWF in determining what content is on the list of blocked URLs.

On the day that the Ofcom Code of Paractice on broadband speed commenced, Nicholas appeared on the Today programme on BBC Radio 4, explained why users may receive the speeds they do and welcomed the Code.
